Bigbank AS is a Baltic-headquartered financial institution offering loans, deposits, and other banking services to private and business customers across multiple European markets. With operations in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Bulgaria, and Sweden, Bigbank serves a diverse customer base and is focused on delivering modern, user-friendly financial services.
Our contribution
Mooncascade partnered with Bigbank to design and develop their first mobile banking app, set to launch in 2025. Built with Flutter for a cross-platform iOS and Android experience, the solution provided faster time-to-market and cost efficiency compared to native development. Accessibility (WCAG 2.0 AA standard) and security (following OWASP MAS best practices) were central design principles. The project was delivered by a combined team from both sides, working in close daily collaboration. The partnership felt like one unified team, with great synergy, mutual understanding, and shared ownership of the goal. This close cooperation ensured smooth communication, quick decision-making, and alignment throughout the development process.
The MVP was successfully launched within 4 months, marking a key step in Bigbank’s growth into a full retail bank and enabling them to offer a modern, app-based experience to their customers.
